Building flexible, accurate multimedia analysis and retrieval systems requires massive amounts of annotated data as ground truth input. Last year, the MMCOMMONS workshop kicked off the development of a research community focused on annotation of large-scale datasets such as YFCC100M. Also this year we intend to continue our focus on collaborating on tasks requiring millions of ground truth labels, and to discuss priorities and plans for features, annotations and distribution based on community needs and interests. The workshop solicits papers on diverse topics ranging from annotating and analyzing large multimedia corpora to leveraging cloud computing for processing, storing and accessing such data.
