Call for Tutorials: HealthWear 2016

HealthWear’16 Call for Tutorials (extended to 29 January 2016), EAI International Conference on Wearables in Healthcare (HealthWear)

HealthWear’16 will bring together researchers, developers, and industry professionals from both Healthcare and Quantified Self communities to discuss key issues, opportunities and obstacles for personal health data research. These include challenges of capturing, summarizing, presenting and retrieving relevant information from heterogeneous sources to support a new vision of pervasive personal healthcare.

HealthWear’16 solicits proposals for half-day tutorials that present fundamentals about a frontier topic as well as recent advances in fields mentioned above. It should be interesting for both students and senior researchers. Of particular interest are topics focusing on the practical challenges of the Quantified Seld (QS), such as visualization of QS data, search in this special kind of multi modal data, etc. 

Submission Guidelines
Please submit your proposal via email to the tutorial chairs:
– Klaus Schoeffmann, Klagenfurt University, Austria (ks@itec.aau.at)
– Na Li, Dublin City University, Ireland (na.li3@mail.dcu.ie)

The 2-page description should include the following information:
– Title of the tutorial
– A 300 Words abstract 
– Full description of the tutorial, including
– A motivation of the topic
– The different parts covered by the tutorial (ToC)
– Target audience
– A rough time schedule for the tutorial
– Citations to publications covered by the tutorial
– Short bio of the tutorial speaker(s)
– Contact information (name, affiliation, mailing and e-mail addresses)

Tutorial proposals must be written in English. Proposals should be submitted in PDF format. 
Presenters of accepted tutorials will be invited to submit a brief description of the tutorial for inclusion in the HealthWear’16 conference proceedings.
