Describe the position here The University of Canberra (Australia) is currently seeking expressions of interest for up to 50 future academic leaders in a broad range of areas.

Specifically in the CS/IT/IS fields, the Faculty of Science and Technology, School of Information Technology & Systems is inviting expressions of interest from enthusiastic academics with excellent track records for Assistant Professor positions in the following broad areas:

– Cloud computing and enterprise systems, information systems, information and project management, IT governance;
– Artificial intelligence, computational modelling, data science / analytics and its communication, machine learning, business intelligence;
– Cybersecurity in internet-connected systems including hardware, software and data, network and systems administration;
– Human-machine interface (incl. human-computer/robot interaction), visualisation, Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality, interaction design, social signal processing, spoken language processing, natural language processing, collaborative robotics.

=== Assistant Professor Position Purpose: ===
As an Assistant Professor at University of Canberra you will be expected to make significant, high quality contributions to the teaching and research activities within your relevant discipline, with the flexibility and willingness to take new challenges when opportunities arise.

You will be expected to contribute to or develop an active research program, including seeking funding, conducting research, and publishing. You will be committed to student learning, through the coordination and delivery of units, and supervision of honours, masters, and PhD-level research projects. As an innovative teacher and active researcher, you will develop links with relevant domestic and international stakeholders and industry in your discipline.
